David McKnight was one of the first people when I met when I moved to Austin. He was nothing but kind words, fantastic improvisation, and a wonderful human being. Despite having no musical credentials to speak of, McKnight agreed to help me make my first record. This is the opening track from the collection and I honestly can't remember if he contributed sax to it. I believe he did in conjunction with Eduardo Ramriez, but I could be mistaken. Regardless, I used a sample of him laughing captured in the moments between takes in the opening verse. I'm so glad to be able to keep this small part of him alive.
